Partner and Professional Geologist located in Southern California, Quin is the Founder of Black Rock Geosciences (BRG). With more than 30 years of environmental experience, Quin’s expertise includes Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Subsurface Investigations, and Contaminant Remediation, as well as Investigation and Remediation of Hazardous Materials releases. Quin’s extensive field experience has allowed him to efficiently and cost-effectively design and implement field investigations, as well as any necessary follow-up remediation.
Recent representative projects that Quin has completed include the investigation of a jet fuel release at a major airline’s cargo facility at the Los Angeles International Airport, and a comprehensive investigation and assessment of remediation options at a former circuit board manufacturing facility with trichloroethylene (TCE) contamination. Quin has served as the remediation manager for numerous projects such as the excavation and off-site transport of contaminated soil during the installation of a new storm drain pipeline beneath a Long Beach roadway. In addition, he managed remediation of oil well sumps in the Aliso Canyon gas storage facility that had leached petroleum hydrocarbons, solvents, and metals into nearby protected environments. In addition to continuing his operations in Southern California, Quin will be supporting the expansion of BRG by contributing his experience and expertise to projects in Washington State.
